Cookies

This page does not currently place any cookies (last updated April 2021).

Should this change for any technical reason, the following applies: The website may use so-called session cookies in order to optimize the website. A session cookie is a small text file which is sent by the corresponding servers when accessing an internet page and which is temporarily saved onto your hard drive. This file, as such, contains a so-called session ID which allows different accesses from your browser to be associated with the combined session. This allows recognition of your computer upon return to our website. These cookies are deleted once you close your browser.

To a small extent, persistent cookies may also be used (these are also small text files which are placed on your end user device), which remain on your device and allow recognition of your browser the next time you access the website. These cookies are saved on your hard drive until you delete them. They allow recognition of your browser during your next visit.

Our legitimate interest in using cookies in accordance with art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 f) GDPR is to make my website more user-friendly, effective and secure.

The cookies may save the following data and information:

  • Log-in information
  • Language settings
  • Search words entered
  • Information about the number of accesses to our website as well as use of single functions of my website.

When activating a cookie, it is allocated an identification number without association of your personal data with this identification number. Your name, IP-address or similar data, which would allow association of the cookie with you, is not inserted into the cookie. On the basis of cookie technology, we merely receive pseudomized information, e.g. about which pages of my website were visited.

You may set your browser to inform you prior to cookies being placed and for you to decide on a case-by-case basis whether you want to accept cookies or whether you generally object to cookies or whether you would like to completely disallow cookies. This may result in limited functioning of the website.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

Data for contract fulfilment

We process personal data for the purpose of contract fulfilment, these may include your name, address, email address, phone number. These data are required for contract closure.

The legal basis for processing these data is art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 b) GDPR, because these data are required to fulfil my contractual obligations with you.

Customer account

For the purpose of order processing, we create a customer account with data (e.g. name, address), communication data (e.g. email address).

You may ask for deletion of your customer account any time without extra cost except for basic transfer costs. Written notification to the contact information given in number 1 (e.g. email, mailing address) is sufficient for this. We will delete your stored personal data as long as we are not required to store them for order processing or due to legal storage requirements.

The legal basis for processing these data is your agreement, at the latest at the time of purchasing order, in accordance with art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 a) GDPR.

Email contact

If you contact us by email (e.g. via contact form, email or telephone), we process your information to respond to your inquiry as well as in case of further questions. You may contact us via the contact form, where you would enter your email address. Without you entering your email address, we cannot reply to your inquiry. The contact form is administered via the plug-in MailChimp for WordPress. At the same time, I object to any illegal use of my contact sheet by users who send Spam messages to me.

If data processing is carried out for pre-contractual activities, which happen as a result of your inquiry, or if you are already a customer, to fulfil a contract, then the legal basis for this data processing is art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 b) GDPR.

We only process additional personal data, if you give consent (art. 6 para. 1 p. a a) GDPR) or if we have a justified interest in processing your data (art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 f) GDPR). A justified interest may, for example, be the ability to reply to your email.

Storage period

Unless otherwise noted, personal data is stored as along as required for the fulfilment of the purposes pursued.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to information about the processing of your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to request correction and, if necessary, completion or deletion of your personal data.

Right to object

You have the right, for reasons that result from your particular situation, to object to the processing of your personal data concerning you, at any time, which occurs based on art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 e) or f) GDPR. Personal data is no longer processed, unless there are compelling reasons to store data worthy of protection which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Right to cancellation of consent to data processing

You have the right to object to your consent to personal data processing at any time.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly within the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes this Regulation.

Data protection

We explicitly point out that data transmission via the internet (e.g. during email communication) may entail security gaps. Complete data protection from third party access is not possible.  As this website is intended as a website presence similar to a storefront, the goal is to collect as little data as possible and to avoid the use of tools such as Google Analytics as much as possible. However, should a Google Analytics plug-in be activated for technical reasons for the purpose of website development or by accident, then all information on data protection stated above under “Cookies” apply. The use of my website postulates your agreement to this.

In order to store your data, we use technical and organizational security measures in accordance with art. 32 GDPR which we continuously adapt to the current state of the art technology.

We also do not guarantee that our offerings are available at certain times; disturbances, interruptions or cancellations may not be excluded.

Disclosure of data to third parties

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Generally, we use your personal data only within my freelance business.

If and to the extent to which we involve third parties to fulfil contracts (e.g. proofreaders as service provider), they receive personal data only to the extent to which it is necessary to perform such service.

Disclaimer

Hereby, we object to the use of all personal data published due to imprint obligations (name, address, email address, phone number) for the purpose of advertising emails without consent, advertising in hard-copy, advertising phone calls etc. Particularly, phone calls or any other contact with fraudulent intent or any other illegal intent will be prosecuted.
